One Tech Stocks The Pantry For National Canned Food Month

How do you help put a dent in hunger during National Canned Food Month in February? Fire up the team to get cookin’ and lend a hand! At least that’s what One Technologies did. As part of a canned food drive to benefit Minnie’s Food Pantry, One Tech held their First Annual OT Chili Cook-Off Bake-Off to stir up awareness and fuel donations. It worked.
Not only did One Tekkers donate 55.6 pounds of canned goods for National Canned Food Month, 42 eager team members descended upon Minnie’s in teams throughout the month of February to help feed North Texas families in need. One Tech teams helped with sorting pallets, stocking shelves, assembling food boxes, greeting families and carrying food out to cars.
By the end of February, One Tech teams had provided 4,175 meals, served 3,827 pounds of food, prepared 139 food boxes, and served over 97 families through Minnie’s Food Pantry.
“As Founder of Minnie’s Food Pantry, I am delighted that One Technologies has joined the fight against hunger in our community,” said Dr. Cheryl “Action” Jackson. “I truly appreciate One Technologies’ acts of kindness and continual support through hosting food drives and volunteerism at Minnie’s.”
Minnie’s, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, is 100% people- and community-funded. When totally stocked, Minnie’s Food Pantry provides up to fifty pounds of food for each family they serve across North Texas.
